Hi,
I’m Cathy. In a nutshell: I’m 26 years old, live in Moerkerke (Belgium), I’m obsessed with my German Shepherd dog Jules and I like beer! 🙂
This is a blog related to my webshop www.tastebelgium.com. I sell beer, chocolates, cookies, genever, … and ship them worldwide.
And of course I have to know what I sell, so tasting is obligatory. Here you can find some tips & tricks, reviews, fun things to do.
What you should definitely do when you are in Bruges, is visit my boyfriend’s Museum. The Bruges Beer Museum. There you can find the whole history about beer and other facts related to beer. It’s a beautiful building. You have to go through it with an iPad (included in the ticket price). And at the end of your visit you can enjoy three beers (also included in the price). Go check their website if you want to know more: www.brugesbeermuseum.com.
So everything you can find in the Museum’s shop, you can find on my webshop also.
See you soon!

I do not see an e-mail for you so if you do not mind I would love if you sent me an e-mail at lillysuesbitesandbrews@gmail.com!

I am so glad you checked out my blog. I am so excited to be following the blog of a woman who loves beer as much as I do… and who is from and who sells my most favorite beers in the world. One day I hope to visit your country.

Hi Cathy.
Thanks for stopping by on my blog.
Ok I love beer and I also had a German sherperd who travelled the word with me. When he died is the last time I ever cried. There’s a hint about him in the Sofia story.
People who love dogs and beer cannot be bad people, can they?

Hey, Cathy, thanks for stopping by my blog and reading ‘Sasha’. I’m glad you liked it. You know, I never really enjoyed beer until I had some at a Belgian restaurant, so yours may be the only beer-based blog that I read. Anyway, I hope you read the rest of Sasha’s adventures. Cheers.

Hi, thanks for checking out my blog! I’m looking forward to reading more of yours! The last time I went to Belgium I was too young to try the beer, so I’m going to have to plan a visit sometime soon 🙂

Lovely blog! I have been been to Bruges in October 2013 – it was amazing! Of course, a bit like Disneyland, according to the locals I hung out with!
I may just have to order some genever from you!!! Cheers!

I get to Belgium pretty much every month, I’ve never got on with Beer, but my favourite bar is Cafe Botteltje – which has a great selection – and always proves popular with my customers.

Thanks for visiting my blog! We had a shepherd (named Shep… not our most clever moment) for many years and he was a great, noble dog. We would still have him if he hadn’t chased the pregnant mares up and down the mountain- he went to a very good home. American chocolate just doesn’t compare with European or Canadian chocolate, I have to say.
